Notes

This blog post will be a catch-all location for things that I have meant to communicate.

1. End of the Year Program - Our program is scheduled for Tuesday, May 16th. One of the things we will be doing is a play based off the book "Miss Nelson is Missing". We have begun practicing the script and can't wait to share this with you.

2. Student Reading - A few weeks ago I told the kids that I would like each of them to read a book to the class. Your child may choose a book from home to practice. When they feel that they would like to try to read it to the class, they can bring it with them to school. So far I have had one student read a book to the class. She did a fantastic job!

3. Field Trip - I am working on planning one more short field trip to visit a farm nearby. One of our students is related to someone that raises pheasants.

4. Show and Tell - Next week I would like each child to bring a show and tell item on Friday. This time I would like the kids to provide clues for the others to guess what they brought. For instance if I bring a Lightning McQueen car, my clues could include: is very fast, friend of Mater, and in a movie. I will send a note home Monday about this.
