99th Day Mystery

Our 100th Day of School will be on Monday, January 29th. It is also a part of Catholic Schools Week. A few weeks ago as I was planning this day, I found an idea to celebrate the 99th Day. I added some mystery to the day. The door was closed, and window blacked out. Yellow Caution tape greeted the kids upon their arrival with a note. I wrote riddles to lead them an sort of a scavenger hunt to find the missing key to get into our classroom. When we got into the classroom, the kids saw several activities around the room. All of the activities were connected to the 100th Day of School. Originally, I thought that we would be able to finish today. Before long I realized that we would need an extension. It was a lot of fun.
