Turkey's in Disguise

Each year I assign the kids the task of working with their parents to disguise a picture of a turkey. The premise is to "save the turkey from this year's Thanksgiving dinner". I am always amazed at the creativity displayed. A few years ago I had that I previously taught tell me how he/she wished that they could do that to. Since that time I have opened up the activity to other grade levels. Now that the preschool classes have moved and are right across the hallway, I invited them to join us as well. So far we I have had at least 40 turkeys turned in with more expected to still come in. If you happen to come into the school over the next few weeks be sure to check out the main hallway across from the library and the hallway outside the Kindergarten classroom. You will see some very interesting looking Turkeys.
