Halloween and Farm
Thanks to those parents that agreed to drive today on short notice. The visit to the farm is always difficult to nail a specific day and time. I don't remember having to move the day after setting it up, but it is always possible. While today was a very cold day, it was at least not windy.
I am sure that my appreciation for farm life is due to growing up in a farm family. My favorite time of year was always harvest. I have lots of memories riding in the tractor and combine. Sometimes crawling in the back of the grain truck after it had been filled as it was being dumped. Both sets of my grandparents farmed. Sharing those memories through the experience of visiting the farm is important to me. I am grateful for the opportunity to do this and hope to continue to visit for years to come.
Today marked another major event in school - Halloween. I should have thought ahead and asked kids to come as minions. I was dressed as Gru - including a clean shaven head. Another thank you goes to the mom's that came to help in the classroom. Your help is always appreciated!
