Mr. Grande Stinker

Today there was a substitute teacher in Kindergarten. His name was Mr. Grande Stinker and boy did he mean business. ;)

On the first day of Kindergarten I read the book, Ms. Nelson is Missing. The story is about a class that behaves very poorly. The teacher decides to dress up as Miss Viola Swamp. The class soon found out that Miss Swamp meant business. They sure were relieved when Miss Nelson returned.

I got the idea to dress up from this book. It was fun to pretend to be someone else for a short while. I have a pretty gentle personality. Mr. Grande Stinker is much meaner. For about 10 minutes the classroom was silent. I know that a few of them were easily able to tell it was me, but I wasn't sure that they all did. As part of my costume, I took my glasses off so I was unable to see their faces well enough to see how frightened they may have been. I think a few of them were convinced that there'd be no more stories read, that the "toys' would be removed from the class, and that we would not celebrate any more birthdays.

I'd say it created quite the stir for a while today.
